FAQ
Do I get the actual source code?▾
Yes. Full TypeScript source via a private Git repository per customer. Tagged, GPG-signed, checksummed releases. You can clone, build, audit, and patch.
What about the AI prompts?▾
Our most valuable AI prompts (8-Pass engine, Co-Pilot, AI Co-worker brains, ad strategy reports) are encrypted at rest and called via your license key. On Studio + Enterprise tiers, premium AI orchestration is hosted at api.clignite.com — your app calls our endpoint with your license. On Sovereign tier, the AI orchestration ships on-prem (air-gapped operation).
What if you go out of business?▾
Source escrow on Sovereign tier (Iron Mountain) automatically releases the unlocked source to you. The license-key validation is permanently disabled. The binary keeps working forever.
Can I migrate from cloud to self-hosted later?▾
Yes — full data export tools included. We offer a $15,000 flat-fee migration package. Typical timeline: 2-4 weeks.
Do you support our auditors / pen-testers?▾
Yes. Source is available for audit. We support customer-led pen-tests (no NDAs blocking findings). We'll provide our own SOC 2 Type II report on request, even for self-hosted customers.
What happens when support lapses?▾
The license keeps working — you can keep running the version you have indefinitely. But you stop receiving security patches, version upgrades, and bug fixes. Most customers renew annually.
Why is it so expensive?▾
Self-hosted is intentionally priced well above SaaS Enterprise — that's the industry standard (GitLab Ultimate self-managed, Hashicorp Enterprise, Cloudera, Confluent — all the same shape). You're buying source access, sovereignty, audit rights, and the right to escape vendor lock-in forever.
